Overview
The AVS111C‑Y is a 1MP industrial GMSL stereo camera module targeted at embodied robots and industrial automation applications. Adopting Global Shutter technology, it captures sharp, smear‑free images even under high‑speed motion and complex lighting conditions. In terms of depth perception, the 50 mm stereo baseline delivers stable depth measurement for medium and short distances, suitable for embodied robots and various close‑to‑medium range 3D perception scenarios. The built‑in high‑precision IMU supplies reliable attitude and acceleration data for motion compensation, VIO and SLAM algorithms, enhancing system stability and robustness in dynamic environments.
For data transmission, the AVS111C‑Y communicates over the GMSL2 protocol with high bandwidth and low latency. It supports POC (Power over Coax) power supply and integrates a CAN interface for direct connection to industrial control networks.
The module adopts an innovative separated architecture of ISP board and SERDES board. It supports rapid adjustment, replacement and customization to fit different project requirements, accelerating product iteration and reducing system integration costs.
A complete SDK is offered for secondary development, compatible with mainstream X86 and ARM platforms (such as Jetson, Raspberry Pi). The SDK supports standard driver frameworks and common development environments including V4L2 and ROS. It enables users to acquire data, build applications and conduct secondary development efficiently, significantly reducing overall development and integration workload.

Typical Applications
3.1. Embodied Robots
➢ Hand‑eye coordination and grasping: Hardware synchronization between stereo camera and IMU enables high‑precision visual servoing. The system reliably grasps small objects such as cups, keys and mobile phones on the table, and achieves stable tracking and positioning even when the distance between objects and the robotic arm is only 15~30 cm.
3.2. AMR/AGV Robots (Logistics Warehousing & Unmanned Factory Handling)
➢ Obstacle avoidance for ramps and pallet trucks: Combined with real‑time vehicle pitch angle sensed by IMU, the system detects pallet trucks and speed bumps ahead during uphill/downhill travelling, and automatically reduces speed or re‑plans the path.
➢ Goods‑to‑person picking robots: After the robot docks at the workstation, the 120° field of view covers an entire shelf layer at one time. Operators standing at any position will not fall into blind zones, greatly improving safety.
3.3. Agricultural Automation & Unmanned Farms
➢ 3D localization and picking of fruits and branches: Global Shutter paired with 60fps imaging eliminates motion smear even under direct sunlight. High‑precision depth data supports accurate picking of overlapping fruits such as apples, strawberries and blueberries.
➢ Precision navigation between crop rows: Mounted on the front of tractors or harvesting robots, the 120° field of view covers 3~4 crop rows. High‑precision depth maps are generated in real time for inter‑row navigation, suitable for tall stalk crops and vine crops including corn, tomatoes and grapes.
